Deaconess Medical Center is pleased
to announce the opening of The Aortic Center.
The Aortic Center at Deaconess Medical Center offers
therapeutic options for the entire aorta from the aortic
valve to the iliac bifurcation.
For the past fifty years, aortic aneurysms have
been treated surgically by opening the abdomen and
excluding the aneurysm by placing a synthetic tube
in its place. This was a lengthy
operation followed by seven to ten days of hospitalization
and two to three months of recovery.
At the Aortic Center, patients will receive a multidisciplinary
consultation including both endovascular and surgical
treatments for diseases involving the aorta and entire
vascular system.
We implement new minimally-invasive advancements in
endovascular technology that can get patients back
to doing the things they love much more quickly.
Our multidisciplinary team includes Board Certified
Cardiologists, Cardiac and Vascular Surgeons, and Radiologists
to provide the best possible care. Our physician team
has over 50 years of collective experience in
treating aneurysmal disease and all types of vascular
disease. Deaconess Medical Center has also recently
been recognized as being within the top
ten percent in the nation for overall cardiac and
vascular care.
We invite you to give your patients the advantage
of our experience and dedication to excellence.
