Obstetrical services at Deaconess are family-focused
and offer many options. We offer large,
comfortable rooms with plenty of space for family and
Jacuzzi tubs for mom’s comfort. Our lactation
specialists are available for those who want to breast
feed. During mom’s recovery, baby can room in
or there are full nursery services
available (and you can change your mind at any time).
Most deliveries are normal, but some women have complicated
or early deliveries. Deaconess has highly specialized
staff and facilities to care for any situation, with
a fully equipped and staffed newborn intensive care
and the only intermediate care nursery in the area. We
have a perinatology center for monitoring mothers who
are high risk. While you’re here, be sure to
try our “World-Class Room Service” and use restaurant-style
menus to “eat what you want, when you want it.” See
