We believe that visitors are important to
the healing process, and we encourage family and friends
to visit. With the exception of the Intensive Care
Units, all patients who wish to may see visitors and receive
calls. The direct phone number to the patient’s
room is posted on the patient’s phone or the receptionist
may transfer your call.
Each department has nearby waiting
rooms and restrooms for people waiting to see a patient. Please do not
use the restrooms in the patient’s room. Ask
staff about these locations.

|
Deaconess is proud to provide “World-Class
Room Service” to our patients--an innovative
dining option that allows patients to order “what
they want, when they want it.” Each room
has a restaurant-style menu from which patients can
make their meal selections.
We also offer guest trays to friends and family members. Please
note that guest meal trays cannot be provided free of
charge or added to the patient’s bill.
A meal service coupon may be purchased in advance in
the Café and on some units. Once a ticket
has been purchased, you may call in your order, and the
guest tray will be delivered with the patient’s
meal.
Café hours are 6:30 a.m. to 7:15 p.m. The
Deli in the Health and Education Center is open from
6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Vending machines are available
24 hours a day throughout the hospital. |

| Gift Shops |

|

The hospital has two gift shops. The
Deaconess Medical Center Auxiliary Gift Shop is located
on the second floor near the main hospital entrance
and offers a wide selection of flowers, gifts and personal
items. Hours for this gift shop are as follows:
9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday-Friday; 10:00 a.m. to
4:00 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Another Gift Shop (located in the lobby
of the Deaconess Health and Education Center) also
offers a variety of gifts, cards and magazines. Hours
of operation are 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through
Friday.
All sales from both the gift shops benefit
our hospital. Over the years, the gift shops have raised
thousands of dollars to upgrade hospital equipment
and facilities. |
