Junior/Student Volunteers (ages 14-18)
This program serves as both an introduction to the healthcare field and as a place to perform a valuable community service.

College/Intern Volunteers (college students)
If you are considering a career in healthcare, this program gives you an excellent vantage point to see all the opportunities that exist.

Job Shadow (ages 14-adult)
By observing a caregiver in their specific occupation, participants in this program gain valuable insight into medical careers.

Adult/Auxiliary Volunteers
This is the backbone of our volunteer corps.  As an adult/auxiliary volunteer you are a valued member of our healthcare team and have the opportunity to benefit personally through the satisfaction of helping others.

American Cancer Society Resource Center at Deaconess Medical Center Volunteer
The American Cancer Society has partnered with Deaconess Medical Center to provide help guiding patients with cancer to available community resources.

School Based Career Exposures/Community Support Programs
Deaconess Medical Center supports many school based programs. By providing opportunities for student placement in a hospital setting, students are exposed to the reality of a healthcare career and the academic path necessary to accomplish this goal. Students also realize the value of community service.

In addition to learning new skills, new ideas and making new friends, volunteering provides the rewards that only come from serving others. All it takes is a willingness to serve Become a Volunteer
