A Deaconess Medical Center Auxiliary member is a service-minded person giving time without pay to supplement the efforts of the hospital staff. Our purpose is to promote and advance the well being and happiness of the patients in the Medical Center. This purpose is accomplished through:
 | Service given to the Medical Center, its patients and personnel. | | Donated funds from the Gift Shop are used for scholarships, program support and to purchase medical equipment. | | A good public relations program, which informs the community of the Medical Center's outstanding services. |
Auxiliary Volunteer Membership |
Interested adults are considered based on their application, pre-screening
policies, health screenings, references and personal interview.
All members must attend an orientation session conducted by Volunteer Services
prior to beginning their volunteer shift. Each active member is expected
to give an average of four hours per month of service or auxiliary related
committee work. Annual dues are $5.00.
